Welcome to tax day 2010! Well today delivered all it promised. Since the beginning of the month I’ve driven all around the bloody Puget Sound for a grand total of 4 appointments. So just as I thought things were improving I’m back behind the 8 ball – gotta love it!
I called Makayla just now and am really looking forward to seeing her. I need a good dose of unbridled enthusiasm from that young lady. Its a good thing she never fails to deliver.
The Bloke Show. You will notice that I am liberally scattering the words “The Bloke Show” throughout the blog. I googled us today out of sheer curiosity and found that we were ranked fourth (behind a cat show of the same name? on facebook – the same page was also sourced through a Chinese site above us as well). Now I can’t afford an SEO specialist to lift our ranking on google , but I did happen to notice… The Bloke Show…. that yesterday’s blog where I actually said “Bloke Show”, positioned us at number 4. I’m no tech genius but I figure if I write The Bloke Show quite a lot in todays blog it may lift us above the cat gig for anyone who would want to find us, yes mum I’m talking about you. If this works …The Bloke Show… I will try to deduce from my own razor sharp observations and deductive skills the optimum number of times to write The Bloke Show to optimize our ranking. Til then ..The Bloke Show… I hope you don’t find it too distracting. Please bear with us while we conduct our highly scientific experimentation.
We have now completed two more scripts and will soon be ready to finalize our choices for the first season – notice the highly optimistic phrasing. This will allow me to concentrate on two essential tasks. 1. Get onto Mike Ashby to see if someone will design our site, we really need to start building an audience awareness/base. 2 Finalize or at least begin the process of casting and scouting location(s). It’s probably also time to start re-connecting with those contacts we made through the meetups Makayla and I attended. Oh …The Bloke Show.
On a personal note, I hadn’t been to the gym in two weeks and was morphing back into a fat bastard, so I have beaten my body at the gym for the past 3 days. I am sore as hell. I’ve walked at a good clip for 3 hours uphill – about 71/2 miles ( at the steepest gradient the treadmill will go) and butchered every known muscle group known to man – and I think I’ve discovered some more.
Through the wincing pain I feel absolutely great. The Bloke Show.
Well more updates tomorrow .
Manana baby,
Simon
